The new director general of the Department of Health (DG) is Abul Bashar Mohammad Khurshid Alam. A notice in this regard was issued on Thursday.

After the resignation of former (DG) Professor Mohammad Abul Kalam Azad, he was replaced by Khurshid Alam. He was the head of the health department of Dhaka Medical College.

After the fraud of Regent Hospital, JKG Health Care was leaked, Dr. Azad resigned from the Ministry of Public Administration on July 21 in the face of various controversies. The government has accepted his resignation and canceled the contract appointment. The Ministry of Public Administration has issued a notice in this regard on Thursday.
